View more than one bone keyframes at a time?

Post by benecosse »

I find it difficult to animate without seeing more than one layer of bones keyframes in the timeline at a time.
I know the black bone layer shows keys for all the bones but once that get full it can also be a bit confusing to get precise fine tuning.
Is there a way to select bones by name and show them or even all of the bones of a character? I don't mind scrolling up down down a list.

You can name bones right when you're creating them, or even later. Select the "bone select" tool (B) and use the text field on top of the workspace.

You can also create keys by right-clicking into the timeline. I don't have problems to create keys by cliclking into the workspace, in fact I use it the whole time: select all bones with cmd-a, then click with the rotation tool somewhere into the window.

The layer scale tool will only create a key when clicked on one of its red points. I wonder why you always change stuff when you click it - I use a mouse and can click a bone or whatever to create a key without moving it.

Yes I think it's cos I use a pen and the click of the pen always moves it somehow, whether it be a bone, scale layer etc.

Ah! With a stylus I'd have the same problem, so I use stylus, mouse and keyboard all together.
