No need to share the anme files, but it's always nice when people contribute to the community. I'm thinking about a week should be long enough for this to run. If anyone thinks it should go longer, I'm open to suggestions.

And for the record, this brilliant idea was DK's. I just happen to start up the topic.

I think multiple entries should be fine, I'll just judge based on the one I think is the best from each member. If your entry is the one you're using currently, there's no need to post it in a reply. I'll assume anyone who posts in this thread to be entered. (Except for Vern, unless he posts an AS avatar.)

A few tips:
Looping avatar gifs that look continuous (the end matches the beginning) always look more impressive.

The loops should continue forever, instead of ending.

Just some things to keep in mind.

This is great. We already have some animated avatars from members that didn't have one before. :D

Awesome! Thanks for the clearin all that up and the tip on the loop...this was a great idea D.K...and Synth thanks for starting it up. Even I don't win anything it's fun to see everyone contribute and see what everyone comes up with...definately need to do these sorts of things more often

Acochran_89,

Your entry with the little guy getting hit is good. You might do a sort of camera pan over to the standing character to finish the loop. That way it looks like the poor guy just keeps getting up and getting hit. :D

Hmmm....I'll see what i can come up with
i'll need to play with that one a little to make it look clean and continuous.
Thanks a bunch for the advise!

I'd love to see your frog avatar animated. :D...
I'll start working on it soon. ;) Glad to see this has it's own topic. :D There's a lot of nice ones here so far. Nice work guys and gals!

Oh and if anyone uses Gimp, here's how to do it in Gimp...

Export as images from AnimeStudio.

Open Gimp.

File, Open as Layers...
Select all images by holding SHIFT and select Open
Resize to 80 x 80 (Lanczos 3)
Image, Mode, Indexed...
Floyed-Steinberg (reduced color bleeding) and select Convert
File, Save As... (whatever,gif)
Save as Animation and select Export
Loop Forever
Set the milliseconds (fps / 1000)
One frame per layer (replace)
Use delay entered above for all frames
Save

Here's one. Actually it's not an avatar, just an animation I did today for work.

Acochran_89, Wow funny how your still avatar, changed to a spinning eyeball, on a green background no less, sometime after I posted my 'avacup' avatar which has a spinning eyeball on a green background.

I'm not one for flaming people around here, but, why have you done this?
Are you perhaps a little strange?
I'm at a loss and pretty disillusioned - wotup? :x

chucky,
well, the idea from the spinning eyeball came from yours. I saw it was like...well that's cool...then i combined it with B.O.B from monsters vs aliens and had its eye pop out and an arm catch it.....however the green bg was coincidence....i'm actually color blind so i honestly didn't realize yours was green. I can change it...i'm not trying to make ppl mad..just having fun. Everyone bases ideas off other things they see.

OK no worries Achocran_89, no harm done.
You seem to have no avatar right now, I hope you are working on something special. :D
