Live Action Animation

Post by JeffZHigs »

I noticed that theres an importer for videos on anime studio. and when I first saw that I said to myself, Roger Rabbit. So I tried it out and it works cool.

has anyone else thought of doing this? and if so, did it work out for you?
I'm a rookie animator, and am trying to get it right, slowly but surely

Mike already did this successfully, see viewtopic.php?t=11443, there's a link to the finished piece at the end.

Yes, it can be done, and I'm still amazed by AS' ability with handling video so nicely.

don't forget you can use videos with bones too, just like image layers. I hope to work soon in a project with chromed videos, something like a human head video on a cut out body, for example.

a tip: you can modify the start of the video turning off the visibility on frame one and on any frame you want to start.
second tip: if you want to control the visibility, without restarting the video, just put it inside a group and turn on/off the group instead the video.
