Unfortunately, Gary kind of dropped out around here about six months ago. I did email him since, and he's involved in other projects -- no sense of when (or if) he might get back to AS again.
I think his beginning tutorials were extremely useful for, well, beginners. It would have been nice to see him progress as he himself progressed, and perhaps that will still happen at some point.
Where can we find more tutorials? I do a lot of my work in After effects and there are a ton of people out there doing tutorials. AS needs more tutorials to help guys like me get as good as the rest of you at this.
Gary hasn't posted here in over a year -- not sure if he's doing something else or even still alive (heaven forbid -- but as we get up there it's always something to consider).
So I wouldn't hold my breath about seeing anything more on his site. But, really, he's given you enough that almost anyone can take it from there (although I'm tempted to document my workflow for our series, except that I'd be a little embarrassed to admit how badly I can draw :>)
Let me tell you that, after reading all of Gary's tutorials, I bought my copy of Anime Studio. After seeing all that can be done in this software, I was convinced. All the tutorials are great, but not only that, all are for the cheapest version!
God, I made a simple (and silly) animation in Flash MX years ago... Everybody loved it... and all I used was tweening & moving cels! Found it too hard to go further!
This software is great. I will pass the word on it on other forums. It's not a toy, it's not a game... is Anime Studio!
(I could not find any thread to introduce myself; I'm reading different posts to get to know all the users and their specialities, but maybe is a good idea to get some old pro to create one.)
