Game Supersausage

Post by DK »

Hi.
I made this simple scroll game about 12 months ago to see if I could create a game using AS animation. I just wanted to share it with the forum. All the animation was done in Anime Studio but the coding/compiling was done in Flash. There are no rules bar 1. Try to stay alive. Best played full screen!

EDIT: OOps...Forgot to mention the controls.
Spacebar = fire
Arow Keys = up and down
Mouse click "ReStart Button to go again.

PLEASE POST YOUR HIGHEST SCORES!!!!

Enjoy

That's hilarious! "...to boldly go where no weiner has gone before."

I had wondered how well AS could do Flash games. Nice proof of concept.

Only complaint- add 3-5 lives. The start over button is annoying after dying just once.

Otherwise fun.

That's a cute game DK, it would be nice to have a second to get to the arrow buttons after pressing start. Maybe some more bad guys too?
I only got to 1700 before getting fried.

Hi Chucky and masterx.
Glad to hear you had some fun with Supersausage!!! Like I said....it was done some time ago when I had my head into Flash coding. To go back now and add extra stuff is a bit of a brain drain o me....but if I ge enough feedback etc I'll dive back into it and add the extras.

Cheers

Have you tried GameMaker? Is a lot easier than Flash, plus a game can be done with almost no coding at all! It also has an internal script.

I created an educational program some time ago using this tool. The animation was made with Anime Studio:

This company has also great gaming tools:

Hi v_aviles
I remember looking at Gamemaker some time ago myself also check out another app called 3D Game Maker:

I was'nt too serious about creating a game as such, just interested in how it was done in Flash.

Game factory 2 looks qiuite interesting though :)

oh god, 3D game maker was the biggest piece of crap I ever had on a CD :D
man... was it bad.. and useless...

maybe someone remembers it, I made a test game with 3D gamestudio (complete dev kit with level editor,3D engine and programming language) and used for the sprites anime studio:
