Glad you liked it! Wish me luck on the contest- it's being voted by actual judges (not website viewers) so I may actually have a chance!

That's marvelous.

Very good animation, and the retro look harkens back to toons from the 1930s.

The stellar vocal of course really makes this work.

It's also very witty, which is just as good.

Man, you're going to win the competition so BAD!

Woohoo! Just found out this cartoon won the $1000 grand prize (1 of 3) in the Idaho Potato Commission contest and will debut at SpudFest Aug. 2nd! They should have it up on ituber.org at the end of the month- I'm curious to see who the other 2 winners were...

Thanks! It's not a bad prize for the 2-3 days of work I put into it :)

Well, hopefully my video was a hit when it was premeired at Spudfest yesterday. Found a couple articles on it that mention my name:

It was presented by Dawn Wells from Giligan Island! Woohoo! The other two videos that won were pretty great too.

Congratulations from me too. Well done! Good to see a member hauling off a big prize. You really ought to buy a bag of Idaho spuds out of your winnings :)

That's terrific, JH, both the video and the fact that you won the prize. Can't heap enough praise on you for your creativity and execution...but on the theory that nothing is ever perfect, I think that the beads of sweat when the potato holds a long note could be more visible. Larger and fewer of them, and white instead of blue, and maybe flying off his face instead of rolling down. Just a suggestion. Anyway, the prize is well deserved. I'm impressed, and obviously others were too. Hope this leads to big things for you!
