OK, I scrapped the dogcatcher cartoon for now but am moving along very nicely on this new thing - to see what I am ripping off, visit here:

My problem is, how do I get rid of the big letter K and make the caption balloon empty and white so I can put in another letter? (Actually the word "kiss")?

Here is the screenshot:

I hope to make the K go away for the rest of the cartoon, replace it with the word "kiss" then replace the word "kiss" with a pair of big yucky lips that kiss the little guy on the L. Then the letter K will come back and it will sit there until the end of the cartoon.

You guys are helping me so much. The animation for this is *killer* so far!!!! What a great program this is! Does anyone have any ideas to fix this problem and make the K go away?

Put the K, KISS, LIPS and a BLANK VECTOR LAYER all into a SWITCH FOLDER. That way, you can toggle either the K, the KISS, LIPS or NOTHING appearing by going to the position in the timeline where you would like to have one of those things appear, and then RIGHT-CLICKING on the SWITCH LAYER and SELECTING which thing you'd like to have appear.

Cool.
