Easter Ecard (FINISHED)

FINISHED ANIMATION CAN BE FOUND HERE

Since Easter is coming up and I will finally get a day off from work I thought it might be nice to put together an ecard to send to family and friends. Here is a depiction of me, my wife, and our 11 month old son as easter bunnies. The animation will be very simple, just us waving and my son bouncing around the screen (sort of like he does in real life). I'm not sure about the final colors, then need some tweaking.

I should be done with the animation in a few days and will post it here.

Thanks alongz, these cartoon characters are always so strangely satisfying to draw lol

I love that style! It is strange how so few strokes can say so much. All the family roles have been depicted perfectly.

Thanks Tayete,

Actually that is something that I have found very difficult. Abstracting a drawing down to its simplest form while still maintaining the character of the drawing has been very challenging for me, but its a fun trying to get it to work.

I started to block out the timing a little tonight. It is just a first pass and still very rough but I wasn't really sure where I was going with it until I layed it out a bit. More to come tomorrow. I still have to add the part when the baby approaches the and bumps into the camera, falls down, then hops behind the mama bunny. He will then go back to his starting position.

Exactly Tayete : <<So few strokes can say so much>> !!!
I like this style of drawing : simple but so efficient !!!

I try to make such things but I can't do it... I always have to add some things on my drawings which become more complex at the end... even if it wasn't my aim !!!

Congratulations Byanfu !!!

Here is the final animation. Its was a great learning experience and I learned a lot about what not to do. I would have liked to do more, but with Easter tomorrow I had to just finish it up.

I was hoping to export it to SWF, instead of FLV but for some reason there where problems in doing so. It is something that I need to try and work out.

Anyway, Happy Easter.

I see you figured out how to export the animation as a vector movie. Nice job. Took a lot of trial and error before I figured out how to properly set up a project for vectors.

Thanks J. Baker

Yea I had to redo the project several times before I got it right. Learning how to draw it in a way that was flash friendly and still look like I wanted and most of all how to get the soundtrack to export where the biggest challenges. Next time around should go much smoother.
