Average Joe Goes Camping

Post by spoooze! »

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to let you know that I have released a brand new animated short film called Average Joe Goes Camping.
This is the pilot for a web series I am creating chronicling the every day life of Joe and his family.

I should start making new episodes in March after Lucky Bob's Time Machine 2 is done. We currently have 2 more episodes written and are working on two more.

Anyway, enough chatter, enjoy the short and feedback is appreciated!

Thanks!

I love this...(not being biased :D)

No seriously..this is a very good short. I love the way you used stereotypes for each character. And the spin added to the little sister is really funny. Is she possessed? Joe kind of reminds me of homer simpson lol :)

Great Short!

Thanks Dan! Glad you liked it.

You know what? I'm not quite sure if she is possessed or not... I think she is just an evil little child. I'll ask Brad. He was actually talking about an episode where we learn more about Susie's evilness.

Thanks!

Man, that was too funny! The voices of the father and the goth rock son were perfect. Great writing too.

If I had one complaint, I would say that on the internet, long opening credits is really a bad idea. People will most certainly click away if they are not watching without a recommendation like from this group. You need to get right to the meat of it and let credits fall at the end.

I first saw this post yesterday when I was at work. I started watching and, as typical of work, having other things to do I clicked away during the credits. Now I am at home on Saturday and watched it and it was great. The kind of thing I would have shown around work if I had seen it all then. You gotta hook the viewer quickly and reel them in when dealng with the Youtube economy.

AHH! Thanks for the heads up!! I'm gonna change the credits definately. I never thought of that... Thanks for the advice! I'm glad you thought it was funny! I was worried it wasn't.
lol when you work on these things for two months and hear the jokes over and over it loses it's funnyness :P

I shortened the opening credits to only the title. Now you won't have to sit through a long opening:
