How to know shape stack order very easy

Post by Genete »

There are several post in the forum related to a feature request that is to know where a shape is in relation to other in the stack order of a vector layer.

I've realizaed that if you name all the shapes (may be with auto name shapes and bones option) you can know where the shape is in relation to the others only looking the Select shape pull down at Style window. It shows the lower shapes first and the upper shapes last.

It is great!

Great tip! This info will be great when doing very complex switch layers and you can't always find your shapes.

I agree, good tip.

I only wished the shape names were exposed to the Lua interface, so script writers wouldn't have to hack around that omission by parsing the .anme file or hard coding the shape ids.
