i prefer the second.... it has more character and i love the strange creatures.
It looks like a childrens book gone slightly wrong.

I prefer the first -- simpler shapes, more integrity in the shapes, less cluttered, not such a frenzied colour scheme...
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

I like the second... the characters stand out more.. the characters in the first one look too much alike in color and there isn't enough contrast.

the second is more like window's paint style. i like it.
but the first tell you less about the project, keep the surprise. when you see the second one you think "ok, this characters are crazy... i'm sure they will blood in any time, they will cut their arms each other, will bring acid with little pieces of glass on their eyes, etc, as in all the animations since 2000 so far"
