COOL CATZ

Post by Mikdog »

Hi there people.

I've been meaning to post this for quite some time. We have a local show in South Africa called COOL CATZ. It's aimed at kids - a daily real life studio show where humans dressed as cats walk around, talk about arts and crafts and learning, etc. Anyway, the INSIDE of the Cats' clubhouse is real, and the exterior is ANIMATED. So, for the intro, I used MOHO with all VECTOR layers, and came up with this. (Right-click, "Save Target As...")

Here's the MOHO file ZIPPED:

Here's the music file ZIPPED:

Cheers dudes. Here's a still or two in case you just want to know what it looks like:

I should mention the characters and show and music are all copyrighted, not by me, but by the dudes who run the show.

Hmm, you're right...if just ZIP the files, it makes life easier.

Let me upload these things again. Shot for the comments BTW.

Give me a minute.

Archive must be damaged or something because I've downloaded it several times and it's currupt each time.

Thanks for sharing your work, Mikdog. There seems to be a big gap in the middle (I see you're using a switch layer to change scenes) where no scene is present, but after a while the animation continues again. What's missing from that section?

Very nice work MikDog. The Characters are lovable, the music is catchy, and it was very well put together.

As LM said however, there's a blank space missing from the animation.

The only thing to add to this fine piece of work is more animation for the characters. They seemed a tad stiff with just thier arms waving in the air.

With a little work, this would be something I could see on TV for my 3 year old to watch.

Good stuff bud.

Yup, big gap. That's where I'd just duplicate the chorus scene in After Effects.

The character animation, I agree, is almost non-existent. Had big plans for redoing the intro. Here are some of the backgrounds I rethought and the characters I had set up for MOHO. I'm happy to say one of my buddies is taking over the reigns.

That's right, 3-year old's dig it. Bright, perpetually happy characters do the trick. Thanks for the comments guys.
