I agree.

Not intuitive at all. Which leads to many hours trying to figure out what's wrong with your art.

The Style 1 can be used for a type of line you want and create a new style for a fill ie, Gradient. Just on the fill style uncheck the outline boxes. When you select your shape style 1 can be your outline and select your fill style for style 2. Also when creating the outline also uncheck the fill section.

Thanks.

I'm starting to get the hang of it. At least enough so I can use them without major mistakes.

I am actually I big fan of styles, but I have noticed in moho 12 vs anime studio pro you must turn on advanced settings to see them. I often draw somewhat complexed characters and if I am not settled on a color/line width styles let me quickly change them. A good example of this is when you have multiple patches of fur through out the body and layers. Styles can be sticky and somethings I use to accidently copy the wrong style into my next object, but this can be easily fix by clicking on the style advanced settings. Looking at towards the color picker and correctly setting Style 1 and Style 2 to none or Style 1 to the style you created. Make sure to name your styles.
