Smart bone that can use 2 bones. Hotkey for parent bone in Layer panel.

Post by Stef Armchair Prod »

Hi all

I have a couple of features I hope might already be hiding somewhere. If not any help would be greatly appreciated.

1.Is there a smart bone that can use two bones instead of one to activate its blendshape? For example, I would like to have both a head rotate and a head tilt when they're at their most extreme poses activate a corrective. This is so that they don't conflict and break the rig but I can't find any options for it. Would be super handy.

2.Is there a hotkey that selects the parent bone group in the layer panel? Often I am fiddling around with vectors and points and then want to go back to the bone layer to tinker with them but every time I have to scroll back up to the top of the layer panel. A quick way to do this would be great.

for 1 (Smart Bone fixer): I don't think you can say if SB1 is here and SB2 is there then [Do This]. There is however a script to help ... see lucasfranca's answer below.

for 2 (Select Bone Layer): There is also a script: https://mohoscripts.com/script/am_select_bonelayer. I have it assigned to key shortcut: Shift ^ (which is logical for me).

I think the script he’s looking for is A. Evseeva’s Mix smartbone: https:///mohoscripts.com/script/ae_mix_smartbones

It can define that Rig will behave somewhat when the A+B bone is triggered at its extremes.
