Gfuel Faze 51 animation

Post by djoly »

I started using Moho seriously when I had a client request a stop motion claymation, but the deadline (and budget) didn’t support the time involved. Stop motion is pretty unforgiving as far as edits go after shooting, and I’m not real fast anyway. So, having played with Moho in the past, I thought I might be able to get the claymation look with the editability of a digital workflow, by importing images of the layered character I built in clay. I thought it worked out great, but better yet, so did the client.

Moho was super stable throughout the process of animating layered bitmaps and I’ve used that workflow multiple times since with excellent results.

That looks great djoly! It does evoke the clay-on-glass animations like in the old Pee Wee's Playhouse show.

Nice work and thanks for sharing it!
