Weld Strokes Bug (Solved)

Post by DK »

I posted a response to a similar topic on this thread re: Weld Strokes.
http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtop ... =5&t=34647

Regarding welding overlapping shapes, (especially circles)how the edge curvature of some edges is not maintained when welded.
Anyone else come across this? The behavior has led me to not using this tool anymore.

Cheers

Holding alt while deleting edges works better to maintain remaining curvatures.

I would suggest that this should be in the "Hover Over" tip in the Weld Crossings button at least rather than have to search the forum. There might be a few other "Tips" things that could be implemented there as well.

Well, the status bar on the delete edge tool does say to hold alt to disable smart trimming, and weld crossing, itself, doesn't cause the problem.
Perhaps the delete edge verbiage could be improved?

Well....that's amazing I never knew that!!! Many thanks. The big problem putting it there though is that when I am working I have this part covered by the timeline. Maybe that's just me and why I have been missing some of these basics all these years? If it was on the "hover Over' dialog it would at least be seen.

You can move the tool status bar to the top, in the preferences.

Yeah, the tool tips used to be located under the tool options bar by default. Personally, I think that's a better location. Fortunately, you can move it back.

And, yes, thank goodness for these tips! After all these years of using Moho, I still reference them. :D

Done. Thanks so much Wes! I would think it should be at the top by default but thanks anyways.
Yes Greenlaw. There is so much to forget in Moho :)
