Render blurs in preview

Post by Jkoseattle »

I have a circle vector with a blur radius about 10. I control the size and opacity of this circle with a smart bone dial. It is used to simulate vibrations coming out of a speaker. When I first created the "spot", the blur rendered nicely even in design time. Previewing a single frame also looks good. As soon as I add the smart bone to it, however, the blur does not render in design time anymore, though it does if I preview the frame. Then, if I animate the spot using the bone dial, now the spot doesn't render its blur at all, even if I preview the animation (Ctrl-Shift-R). If I actually eport it as an mp4, the spot renders correctly. Is there a way to see this blur effect when previewing the video?

Not only that, but all the guidelines and everything are rendering when I preview animation. I can see the bone itself moving, basically whatever I see in design mode renders as well when I preview. ???

Ctrl+R is an export quality single frame render. Ctrl+Shift+R is a preview animation used for quickly checking timing, and just renders the workspace, as is.
