A friend asked me if I could use moho to draw him a stick man for an animated web button thing (kind of like a "like" button).
I did so, but I am uncertain as to what size I should make the image for the button, and what kind of file type should I save the images as.
I have had zero luck trying to google it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Something between 300x300 and 600x600 should work - you work large because you need to be accurate. Export should be SVG nowadays - but for moving stuff it's still GIF.
