Beautiful, indeed. And labor intensive @ 12 oil paintings per second. Very impressive.

Actually, I'm disappointed about this film.
The trailer starts with some scenes in which I think the animation captures the artistic style, but after some seconds we see the "real movie" and it's just rotoscopy that barely remembers Vincent van Gogh paints. It even feels like a video with some kind of filter over it.
I feel sad about this and hope to be wrong, but for my taste the animation direction doesn't fit with the style and to me that is more important than how many oil paints they made.

PS: This must be one of the most negative messages I have wrote here. I'm sorry :roll:

I thought the exact same thing, Victor. Especially about it looking like an artistic filter on live-action footage.
