Hanna-Barbera Style Backgrounds

Post by awalker »

Hello everyone. I had a question to ask. I am interested in creating my own animated shorts in the style of the Hanna-Barbera cartoons for the 60's (Magilla Gorlilla, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, etc etc). I was wondering if anyone could provide me with some tips or direct me to any available tutorials to help me create backgrounds with the texture's similar to those classic tv shows using the brushes and styles palette included in anime studios 10. I know Parker from the forums offered a tutorial set a few years back that gave the kind of guidance i'm looking for but those videos have been deleted. Any information or advice would be greatly appreicated.

You could try starting here. (It may be better to construct your backgrounds in a paint program like Photoshop -- brushes in AS can use a lot of processing power).
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
