Animation Dance Party!

Post by Lost Marble »

I'm a little late posting this, but there's an animation contest being held right now, led by forum member Mike Morris. It's an animation dance party, where you submit a short dance cycle animation and I believe Mike will composite them all together into a big party.

Smith Micro is one of the sponsors, along with Wacom and Autodesk. Voting I believe will be done by professionals in the animation industry, and prizes will be awarded. The contest is open to students and amateur animators, and you can animate in any style or medium you like.

Sometimes you need a little assignment to get the creativity flowing. Although I'm not eligible for prizes, I think I'm going to create an entry just for fun.

Awesome Dudeness site where you can enter the contest - you have to register to see the details of the contest:

Looks good -- but only US entrants can win prizes. That's a shame...
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
