New ASP 9 tutorial series

Post by Mark Bremmer »

Hi Folks,

Long time, no hassle – although I lurk.

For those interested, I've recently completed an ASP9 series for Infinite Skills. It's based off of some very similar pro work I've had run through my studio.

Check it out here, especially the 'What we cover' movie if you're interested. http://www.infiniteskills.com/training/ ... pro-9.html

Please pop me some questions here if you have any and I'll get back in touch PDQ.

It is fantastic!! I'm learning a lot of tips and I can only suggest it to all the beginners like me. :D
Though if I can speak a little english I can understand every word you say. Your voice is very clear.
Thank you again

PS: I've not receiced any money for this AD :D

Hi Mark,

I have purchased your ASP9 pro series of tutorials from Infinite Skills and I'm trying to learn to use the software. And although your explanations sounds very clear and logic, I have some difficulties in following your lecture. Here is my first question:

In lesson 0601 (and 0602) you draw a figure and added bones in a certain order. Then you reparent the bones. As a result, the body, the legs and the arms are all connected to the hip bone (see the figure for your result).

If I'm just following what you are doing, the bones are connected to each other in a complete different order (see figure). Do you know where I'm doimg something wrong?

Thanks for your help!

You have the bones in the right place. You just need to reparent them to match his example. It looks like you did not click on the parent bone before making the next bone. For example to fix the leg on the right...

click on the "select bone" tool
click on the top leg bone(femur)
click on the "reparent bone" tool
click on the hip bone.

Do that for all the other ones that need reparented and you will be good to go.
Sorry for bad animation

Thanks for jumping in and helping sbtamu. You beat me to the reply.

TvL, I mention doing the reparenting requirement but it may be easy to miss if concentrating on the actions instead of the narrative. Glad it's working for you now!
