Moving keys after selecting

Post by Overdroid »

Maybe there is a way to do this that I don't know about, but this often happens to me.

1. Select several keys in timeline.
2. Click on one to drag them.
3. Fail to click on the teeeeeeny-tiiiiiiny little key just right and de-select everything.
4. Return to 1. and repeat this process until you are ready to throw your computer out of the window.
5. End up institutionalized because of the "incident."

What I would like is a behavior like THIS:
1. Select several keys in timeline.
2. ALT-click or CTRL-click ANYWHERE in the timeline (NOT ON THE KEYS).
3. Drag those keys.

Thoughts?

Alt+click is for "resize" selected key so shrink or enlarge the animation...

I feel your pain. I do it all the time too. It's similar to moving points around with the "translate" tool, accidentally click on a shape instead of the individual point. I think the most used keys on my computer are Control & Z.

Yeah. Selecting shapes! Also drives me crazy sometimes. I wish there was a toggle that made selecting shapes IMPOSSIBLE. I know about the auto-select shape box, but some times you still auto select the shape even when this isn't ticked.

Again, if you could Shift-click or Alt-click to select shapes (and never selected them otherwise), that would be swell.
