A timeline that can count frames in other than sixes

Post by Barry Baker »

Ever since it was Moho, Anime Studio has assumed that we are all animating at 24 frames per second, and we like to count in sixes. Well, in the UK and many other places in the world, TV works at 25 fps, and dividing time into units of six frames is pretty useless.

I would like to see either a preference item for frame units, or else smart numbering, based on the fps of the project. Thus, sixes works fine for projects running at 24 or 30 fps, but the scale would automatically change to fives for a project running at 25 fps.

If you would be able to set this, which I think could just be a setting in the Project Settings, I would indeed use this function if I could change it to fives as well. I like the idea, it's also more "metric".
