The learning videos are recorded in 8 but all the files are made in 6.2, so yes, pretty much everything will work in 6.2 and up!

And thanks again for pre-ordering! :)

So in your series, you're not using nor taking advantage of any of the newer tools available in subsequent upgrades? Even those things that may in fact affect character building and animation?

Like I said, the videos are recorded in 8, so yes, I am showing some of the new tools, but to be honest, not many tools have been introduced in later versions that really impact on character animation.

This video set is about character animation, not how to actually create a character as there is plenty of tutorials on that subject, so I do not show most of the new tools that we're introduced in 8, like image tracing, or patch layers or the character wizard or the awesome Photoshop interaction or the new drawing tools.

This set is on how to rig a character and how to use the basic principles of animation applied to Anime Studio, how to use them in conjunction with the channel editor, sequencer and motion graph.

Lots on facial animation as well, like expressions and lip-synch, the basic stuff for good character animation.

I also show 2 different workflow's in making the final scene.

I have put hundreds of hours into this, and I believe it to be a very good compilations of very useful techniques on how to animate a character in Anime Studio.

The reason I am making the files in 6.2 is for backward compatibility with previous versions.

Now that you have gotten a little deeper into the project, are we realistically looking at a Christmas release date?
Well it looks like projection is just about right on the mark!

Well, the project took a life of its own, but it is almost there, just a bit more patience! :)

I can wait. Anything involving animation always takes three times longer than estimated so...... :D

I must admit that this is much more involed then anticipated, but I can tell that it will be of better quality then pretty much anything that I have seen so far, with the exception of Williams DVD set, but then again, this one will not sell for 1000 $ :)
