how are you making him walk? is it on a bone layer with a walk action? is his movement controlled by layer translation? if so, and when the layer stops the walking action continues, you just need to interrupt the looping action by putting a key frame on the bone layer - freeze him in a standing position. He should walk up to that point. To start again, go to the frame you want to start and lay down the walking action again and it should loop.

right click on the timeline bone lane and select 'insert keyframe'
or move the bones manually and a keyframe will be created

the arrow is where the cycle starts - then any key after that will interrupt the cyle (so in this case, you'll get 3 frames from the start of the cycle at frame 7 (i think) and then the cycle will stop. Move the dot after the arrow to lengthen the cycling duration...

...and read the manual.

I would flip the layer, and then do a few manual animation frames either side to sell the turn... learn the basics first though. have you done every tutuorial?

You mean have the character face in a different direction? You need to draw each view and use a switch layer to change the view, like this:
Character Wizard Walk Test (Anime Studio Pro 8 )

To change direction simply flip the top layer of your character.

I truly appreciate the members of this forum, most of them are just the nicest people in any forum I visit, but man, sometimes you're all just too nice. If someone can't even be bothered to learn the basics, using the manual or any of the many, many tutorials available, they certainly shouldn't expect to have their hand held. Walking, not walking, flipping... All quite basic stuff, covered in depth in the manual and again, in many of the multitude of tutorials available.
