Technotise - Serbian Feature Film made with AS

Post by JoelMayer »

Hi!

Did anyone notice this?
http://www.technotise.com/

Its a low budget serbian feature made by approx. 10 people over a course of five years for under a million dollars. I thought it looked like AS. So i researched the making of. Even though its serbian and i dont understand a word, watch the video from 4:00 and you'll see what they're working with ;)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tf-dTZoQ ... re=related

Definately going to check this out.

Cheers!

How cool is that! (4:46 "a program called Moho") - the DVD cover looks like it has English subtitles available.

I wonder if they frequent this forum?

You can download the full movie with the free realplayer.

Just make sure you select the desired resolution before you grab it.

You can grab the captions with this tool as well.

Just watched it on large tv, good movie even though some of the shots look a tad cheap, you can also feel it is computer made most of the time, liked the story!

Making any more features with AS? If so, what version and what are you doing differently (if anything)?

Shufle, also curious about why you're releasing the film for free all over the web? Was that a planned distribution method, or had you already made your money back from DVD and TV sales, etc.?

That's was the directors decision. The movie was not very well accepted in our country (because of various reasons ) and made very small amount of money in Serbia so the director decided not battle with piracy and just let it go...:S Also we had a lot of troubles with our distributors (that kind of Business is awfully organised in our country)..

Personaly i wouldn't do that but that's his movie. And after all, the movie itself as a project was very pioneer...for Serbia that's was our first animated movie (if we don't count Yugoslavia period)...

Yes, the guys who worked on the movie are still using it occasionally.. I just done a animated series for local tv stations..

I'm using AS6. I just tried AS7 i didn't see anything new and special in it to be honest...
