LOL pretty much, I'm not an animator or in a field that has any thing to do with it. I am a math and physics teacher but I have always been attracted to animation.
I love this life stories. Great to know we have a very heterogeneous forum

This is true; there is a very diverse community contributing to the forum.
I'm just glad I have a job out side the field or I would starve.

Not to slight the other great entries, these examples by Gregino are super cool.

Thanks for the comment neeters guy, if you are interested by the motion graphic test, it is inspired by this tutorial
http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorial/fancy_title_plate/
you can check the other ones too, they're all for After effect and sometimes 3ds max but they're very inspiring:)

The amount of time I have put into masking has been so minimal and anyone who can pull it off I have major respect for :p Where is the tutorial on how to use those?!
And for turnarounds ( Which I will post my attempt later ) I like Amigamans the most.

He just has a bunch of switch layers with I think 6 different bone sets of angles.

@aleXean - Your character moves to fast, his feet barely keeps up with his motion. Slow him down a little and add some personality to him, other than that, good work!

Looks good lwaxana except to me it seems the right arm is kind of "snapping" to its positions.

Looking good lwaxana. The walk cycle is nice and flows. I am not sure what jonbo is seeing but maybe its the interpolation on the key frames for the arms. They do not seem to match the legs 'smoothness.'
edit
After watching it a few more times this is what I see.
The right arm has 3 positions while the left only has 2.
