Also can someone help me scan the website for more useful info. More on walk cycles, drawing tools, layer tools, BONES (especially) - most of these areas aren't my expertise, nor do i know what's been asked alot... so help would be greatful.

Also sticky this in both how do i and this forum once finished. I don't think anyone reads the FAQ.

Other Useful Link Collections

Might consider if there if these might be of interest. There are lots of forums where the members do a good job of digging up links. For example the one above, while about game design, does have some good links to writing articles I liked.

Here is another

If I make this sticky will cribble still be able to add to it and edit the first post?

I will give it a shot. Cribble, just let me know if this messes up your ability to make changes to the original post.

Thanks heyvern.

I can still edit the post fine.

When i get back on Monday, i'll try and put the time into compiling the resources again. It'll take a while, but in the mean time, if people can post up any links, with their related sections, i will put them in the post (moderated, of course).

(Is that head turn video, youtube'd yet?)

I'll have a youtube version up soon cribble. I'd like to see this thread become a comprehensive index of information for Anime Studio users. We really need this.

In the meantime here's my contribution to the headturn section:

Gesture Drawing for Animation (free e-book)

Post by human »

http://punchandbrodie.com/leo/stanchfield/

Gesture Drawing for Animation by Walt Stanchfield
Edited by Leo Brodie

Walt Stanchfield (1919-2000) was an artist who taught life drawing classes for animators...

...The goal of this project is to imagine the book that Walt Stanchfield might have written: Gesture Drawing for Animation...

Download the entire book as a single PDF file

Or download the same book as a series of PDF files.

EDIT:

Check this! "Draw ideas, not things; action, not poses; gestures not anatomical structures." (p 1)
