How to get a ragdoll effect with bone dynamics.

Post by Postality »

well I've been experimenting with the bone dynamics and I love them.

To get a decent ragdoll effect try setting the characters bones to

torque force 4
spring force 2
and
damping 6

Also avoid setting dynamics on the main movement bone/backbone. You character will see like he's a jelly fish if you do. =)

these setting work fairly well, you can see them in action in this small sample movie.

In the video the characters are using these settings 5, 2, 5. When I made that video. As you can see they are a little too rubbery.

but 4, 2, 6 work very well.

hope that helps someone.
