How to animate a light saber in anime studio

I just got Anime studio 11 after watching Bill Cass's video on reference layers. I have a bunch of ideas on how to use them but the easiest and quickest thing I thought of was to do this! In Bill's video he mentions that you probably don't want to alter the reference images but in this case it's good because you can construct multi layered objects like this and have great control over the object when animating! It's really simple but you need AS 11. Hope you guys enjoy!
