Post by dkwroot »

This one is an hour long tutorial, but I go over a lot of information including how to rig a 3d Model to work with smart bones in Anime Studio. Enjoy!

Cool tutorial! Interesting to see it work from scratch like this. It may just be me being a goof, but I also liked the music you'd play during segments of no talking.

Very slick!

Excellent tutorial -- clearly presented, with good pacing. I haven't got Blender, but it made me want to rush out and download it! Well done.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Thanks guys! I'm actually planning to redo this video and complete the Poser section. I've gotten much, much better at Blender so I've got plenty of tips to share. :wink:

I'm wondering how hard it would be to import Anime Studio into blender as a sequence image on an alpha plane?

I can do it in Vue but it took me years to get it right.

Now that Anime Studio Pro 10.1 supports FBX export, is it possible to go in the other direction? Import our 2D characters into the 3D environment of Blender (or other 3D app that supports FBX) for animation purposes?

Yes, but there is a catch. Anime Studio exports to the FBX ancii filetype, which Blender doesn't support. You have to download and install this addon: http://blenderfbx.render.jp/

Which will give you the ability to import FBX ancii files into blender.

Updated my tutorial. Blender has improved a lot since my last tutorial and working with texturing is easier than ever!

@DueyFTW
Sorry for the late reply, but yes. It's very easy to load in image sequences into Blender. TUTORIAL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAC0c2kerq0
