Selective Anti-aliasing. Is it possible?

Post by cig »

Hi All. : )

I'm working on a 900x250 web banner for a site.
I'm finding that Anime Studio Pro 9.2, anti-aliasing, is causing the small details, for example,
eyes, to become small dark smudged holes.

Is there any way to limited the parts of the render that get anti-aliased?
Increasing the characters size, is not an option, and I have increased eye size, and reduced line thickness.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

It's not possible to change these settings for just a part of the image.

You can, however, render the image twice, once wiht each setting, and combine them in Photoshop or Gimp.

Thank you for your reply, Slowtiger.

I had hoped to avoid compositing, purely because of the increased render times.
I looked to see if I could code a script using a mask, to cover the area that was to be left untouched, but it appears that the rendering is all hard-coded.

It's an animated banner, so I'll have to R&D Gimps abilities, in that area.

Thanks again for your time and knowledge.
