Animation Principles Blog Posts (Updated 5/30/11)

Post by spoooze! »

Hey all,

Putting together some posts on the 12 Principles of Animation up on my blog using examples from some of my latest works. Here's the first one I put out last night:

1. Squash and Stretch

Hope somebody finds these posts useful! These principles are VERY important even when doing "cutout" animation in Anime Studio or Flash and I don't see them being utilized enough. In many cases they are being ignored completely (I'm VERY guilty of this in a lot of my previous work... Thank God for Animation Mentor!!).

Enjoy!

That's a great reminder and demonstration of this principle.

I'm new to animation and I eat up all of this stuff, so many thanks for sharing.
