Hi, this could be interesting. I was playing in the animation of a mouse. I wanted to get the velocity and armony of mouse jumps easily and still being able to animate it as a normal character.
The solution I found is pretty simple, but works very well. I created two mice, one layer each. The first follows a path (which represents the jumps) and the second can be rigged the way you want. When the first disappears, the second appears.
I think it's better you check the file by yourselves.
