OK, I picked the image, created the next layer and tried to trace it....What am I doing wrong? It doesn't look rite. I even did what the tutorial said and tried to use shapes, but then I couldn't manipulate them correctly.....

U have to keep moving points around. It took me 2 hrs to outline Bush's head and only 10 min to animate the head and eyes. AS isnt going to draw anything for u, it just lets u animate (imo) very easly

For tracing I use the point add tool. Make the shape, then adjust the line widths. So as I trace I think about how many points and where they are. I have avoid using the drawing tools, I just seem to end up fixing too much.

If you have a tablet with assignable buttons:

add point (a)

translate point (t)

peek

smooth

select points (g)

just use teh freehand tool to make a basic out line and the move the pints around and add and delete them as needed. it took me forever to get use to it even with a pen tool
