Old tutorials coming back online

Post by fiziwig »

Sorry folks. I let my domain lapse and didn't notice, so my tutorials have been offline for 6 or 7 months. My bad.

They are back. Sort of. The name servers haven't updates yet, so for the next couple days you can get them at http://d700690.u28.hostdone.com/anim/ then when the name servers update they will be found at the old original http://fiziwig.com/anim/

One glitch I noticed while uploading the pages: The Quicktime movies don't play. Looks like Apple updated the quicktime player since 2008 and left movies for the older version broken. I hate it when they do that. I'll probably move the movies to YouTube instead of shelling out more bucks for yet another Quicktime Pro update. They charge money for every little update, and I don't use Quicktime frequently enough to justify the cost.

fizwig, I paid for QuickTimePro a number of years ago, and I don't think I've ever been charged for an update. In fact, I get automatic updates through the Software Update program on my Mac. Also, old movies I have play just fine in the newer versions of Quicktime. Maybe it's an issue of coding them to play on the website.
