Intermediate masking tutorial.

http://www.mediafire.com/?jhrmdzhnfpy
This one's only 15 min.

And the hosted video: http://www.viddler.com/explore/synthsin75/videos/2/

And the .anme files.

In case anyone missed it in the first post. Let me know if there is still enough interest to continue this series.

Planned advanced tutorials will cover this example and then complex character masking/shading.

Well here's the AS file for my proposed advanced masking tutorial. I guess if it draws enough questions I'll do the tutorial.

I don't know if basing it off of the LM tutorial just bored people, or what.
I've been dishearten by the lack of interest, and that this thread didn't rate a 'sticky', but now that I think of it, why the hell isn't Darthfurby's tutorial a 'sticky'?!

Alas.

Masking tutorial series

You've done great tutorials, synthsin75. Thank you. I guess the whole AS community really appreciate good tutorials posted here. Yours are clear and informative and handy. You guys spend a lot of time creating them. Many people see and use them, but not many respond. The group of active writers is not very wide. I myself don't write but I read and experiment with all the tutorials posted here. I doubt I'm unique in my mode of being here. Don't be dishartened. It may happen it's the time of the year that decreases the current demand for tutorials. People might be spending less time in front of the computer screens. The fall will tell you. I hope. :)

Thanks Lightman. Yeah I forget that there are a ton of viewers that don't post here. Thanks for the encouragement. I recently got a better means of hosting the files (no more Mediafire :) ) so I should be getting the advanced tutorials up before too long.

Although right now I'm neck deep in learning the scripting for AS.

These types of video tutorials are really useful
and I hope you continue them!

PS - I downloaded your AS zip file and it includes
the lua mesh instance script. How is this used?

Tooner, those are for my advanced tutorials. You can find instructions for using meshinstance elsewhere in the forum. When I get around to doing that tutorial, I'll go into the uses for meshinstance.

Sorry for the delay on getting these advanced tutorials out. I am still planning to finish the series, I've just been distracted by other things.
