ADK blocks

Post by bakenius »

Good day everyone!

I know I've not been around much lately, but that's because I'm developing a series of animations for an ad agency who asked me to revamp their image by adding a 'personal and humorous touch'.

The first animation is an under construction page you can see here http://www.adk-europe.com/.

The nice thing of this style is that I don't get distracted by complicated features and can focus on movement and timing much more.
All animation done in Anime Studio Pro, of course. I hope to upload a version with sound next week. :)

I like it. The characters are so simple but very appealing due to your animation :D

That's hilarious! I can watch it again and again, so much detail is in there. And doing this in such a minuscule size adds much to the fun. It doesn't even need sound because you told everyhing in easily readable movements.

My girlfriend said "They bought their website at IKEA and now have to assemble it ..."

This is really great. I wonder if you can submit this to an animation competition somewhere. You definitely should try to.

The Ikea thing was kind of the idea. I pleased that it reads this good. Especially when keeping in mind that I had to complete this film from conception to final product in just three days. :)

This is the storyboard I did for the film:

And yes, getting this into an animation competition somewhere would be great, I have to look into what the possibilities are. :)

I assume that animation featuring extremely simple characters is just going to be stupid.

These characters are the simplest imaginable, but the soul shines through.

Bookmark this as an example of the pure power of animation.

Thanks for all the kind words,

now there is a version online with sound. It's kinda rough - all my own voice, but it makes it a lot more funny as far as I am concerned. :)
