Average Joe Movie: The first 2 minutes

Post by spoooze! »

The second sneak peek for 'Average Joe: Bigger, Stupider, and Unintelligent'.

http://www.freewebs.com/jtn1989/ajmovie.htm

This is the first two minutes of completed animation. We have about 8 minutes (out of an estimated 25) of footage completed at this time.

A few things you may notice:

1. The animation is different then in the series (http://www.freewebs.com/jtn1989/averagejoeseries.htm), we're trying to go for a "fuller" look.

2. Martha's voice has changed to be a bit deeper and a bit "southern" because her original voice (see the series) was really hard on my voice to do.

Tell me what you think!

Take a look at the series it's based on:

That'll get you familiar with the characters and the movie will make more umm... sense.

And this whole time I thought your last name was Netherly. I need to get my eyes checked.

Also this is my favorite Average Joe clip you've done so far.

lol yeah, I love that kind of humor... and it rubs off in my cartoons :P

lol yes, Netherly is a common mispronouncing of my name. There's also Netherby, Netharly, Nethry, and tons of others :P

And thanks!

I will post more clips from the movie soon!

Slightly too random for my taste, but still quite good. I liked Martha's old voice better than this one, though that might be me. Though I know something about painful voices, my friend Hans had to do a painful voice for those yopyop cartoons I created.

Anyhow, I like it, though I think the main issue I have with most of your animation is that it's mainly characters with a one-color background, or that the background is slightly too empty, which is actually a problem I have from while to while as well, but well, that's something else.
