Beautiful. I like the effect a lot, but I am too new not to be intimidated by the number of layers I'd need to manage this.

I started out with Moho with the idea of using a lot of brushes and textures to get more painterly effects. I quickly encountered the problems everyone has with textures creeping over the surfaces, and decided to experiment more with using vector layers as masks for ArtRage images. I had been playing with brushes to get a more irregular edge to the vector mask.

To me, it looks like all of the brushes are just grayscale PNG files of a given size. I once played for a couple of minutes at making some new ones, but never followed through.

Congrats,

Gnat

Looks great! I recommend however, that you check the "Minimize frame-to-frame randomness" in the brush window to remove the flickering.

well, i'm new to brushes, i didn't see that option... thanks!

i like brushes beacuse you can move and edit it anytime, so, if i would like to turn my character, i can control the texture too. if i would use png for texturing, i wouldn't have that freedom.

thanks for the feedback, and not be afraid by the number of layers. when you are doing the project, all is clair (when i see someone else's project i scare too).

Sorry, I just watched it, and where are the brusehs used? I hardly ever use them, but a use with 3D I could see. I have a ratty couch I want to build.
