Get more bend in your toes. As the foot goes back, it goes up on to the toes, and they bend. To exaggerate the motion of the foot through the air as it goes forward, bend them back, past the flat point. Then as it comes in to land, bend them up again, then 2 frames after, slap the whole foot flat, which will make the motion more punchy.

Also a run is much faster than a walk.
