Hi guys, I'm almost done with this parody of Steven Universe and the Princess Bride. I'm just fixing some final things and thought I'd see if you have any ideas to improve it. I wanted to add some more effects to the hologram scene in particular so that the light flickers and it has more of a glowing look, but I couldn't figure out how to do those things the way I envisioned.
[Edit: Removed WIP. Final animation is posted down-thread]

Ha ha! I wasn't expecting that ending! Very funny. Nice narration too.

Haha... The ending cracked me up too.
Usually when you see a hologram in a movie it is positioned so you can see something behind it too. Nothing distracting but usually something that helps us register it as a hologram. I would try to put a picture frame or some other scenery behind your hologram.
To flicker I usually just turn the visibility of the layers on and off.

The gem-nosed woman does a 180° turn and runs. Well executed.

Thanks for the feedback and tips, everyone! :D Here is the completed animation:
I was already using masking for the hologram so I added flickers by changing the opacity of the mask in the time line. And then for the glowing effect around the pearl, I followed Selgin/Victor's instructions for blending modes in this thread: viewtopic.php?p=87430 This glow is similar to how it looks when Pearl projects holograms in the show.

Nice work and the style is spot on. Jasper's turnaround at the end was frame-by-frame?

Thanks, guys! Yes, I used frame by frame layers for Jasper's body in the turn around (with the add point tool), the hand-castle flags (pencil tool), and in the planning for her hair in the turn around. But I'm still going to frame 0 like using conventional switch layers when I need to copy and paste points. I'm not sure if there's a way around that...
