Lens Flare Test

Post by ianmage1 »

J.J. Abrams inspired... XP

I'm mostly satisfied with the lens flare (I'll have the flares' opacity fade gradually, next time), but not so much with the random jumpiness of the surface's perimeter; I probably placed the surface too close to the camera. That should be an easy fix.

I wouldn't rotate the rays - nowadays they show the orientation of the sensor cells, are only 4 rays, and get bigger and smaller.

It looks cool but is a bit on the overpowering side of things.

@slowtiger Thanks for the tips. I made a few fixes.

@Danimal It's still on the "over-powering" side, but that's what I was going for in this particular sequence.

That is a marked improvement, and is definitely still overpowering. JJ Abrams will probably come make out with you for using such a strong lens flare.

In that case, I should probably avoid using strong lens flares too much...

Oh, poor JJ. Lensflarephilia is quite a troubling affliction. But for those with concerns for the new Star Wars, the good news is you probably won't be able to see much of it.

J J ABRIMS HAHAHAW HAW HAW AHAW I THOT THIS WAS A TRALER FOR THE NEW STARWARS HAHAHAHAHA............sorry....i don't know what came over me.......

That celestial appeal really draws me in. That guys figure is stringy though. But all at once, I'm fairly certain that you're conscious of that as it was your choice in style to do so. keep it up.
