Disney's Frozen "Let It Go" Animation

Post by ianmage1 »

Here's an animation I made of a character from Disney's upcoming film, Frozen, singing her song, "Let It Go." At the D23 Expo, Indina Menzel, the singer and voice actress for the character Elsa, previewed this song. I used the recording from the expo to make this animation. This could very-well be my best work, yet. I hope you like it.

This is very good work. I don't know what Disney will make of it if they see it :D However, as a piece of animation it works very well. Your effects work is always excellent!

Thanks for the feedback. This is one of my few YouTube videos to be this well received. It was very rewarding, but I really need to go back to working on WhiteLand. Thanks again!

I'm new to all this since I just joined today, this is so smooth, it's a performance really. Don't yet know enough technically to make comment other than it looks excellent.

Thank you. I've used that technique a lot in my animations. It can be applied to blowing hair as well as cloth.

Awesome young talent! Maybe it's time for you to look for an up-and-coming composer and not have to take existing, copyrighted stuff. You seem to have your own visual language - I'm impressed.

Very good.
How long did it take you to create this?

Thank you. I avoid using copyrighted music for my animations, but this is an exception. Hearing a Disney song that didn't have a Disney animation to go along with it presented an opportunity that I couldn't resist.

Thank you. I spent a week rigging/animating and then waited about 3 days for everything to export.
