no one liked it? :-/
Re: animating a childrenbook.
Nicely done. I love the style and atmosphere. The artwork is very beautiful.
I would like to know how this will be presented? Will this be part of an interactive book or simply animated cut scenes as video?

Give it some time for people to see it. You posted on a weekend (and it was beautiful outside at least for me). It's only been a couple of days.Joppa wrote:no one liked it? :-/

Nice artwork, but cheap animation. Basically it's just shifting stuff around without real movement. The propeller doesn't turn, the bird and ant don't move their legs, and so on. Let the animation be as good as the designs!

There's a difference between what you want to hear and what you need to hear.Joppa wrote:thanks for the criticism. A little harsh. You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

There are two ways to ask someone to go to hell. One way hurts and the other way make them asks for directions.

Re: animating a childrenbook.
nice.. it's pretty easy to fix the lack of movement in bird, ant, propellor that slowtiger points out .. just a couple of extra sprites maybe with fast switches between them? Given that the artwork was done by someone else, either they can do the "different poses", or a quick burst with photoshop (or whatever) should do the trick. The thing I'd fix is the child's slippy feet / out of sync step SFX in http://vimeo.com/68802568
people in the afterlife sitting opposite each other at a long table that's 2 metres wide, with food in front of them with 2 metre long chopsticks which must be used to get the food. Hell: trying to feed yourself; Heaven: feeding the person opposite you... It's the same place - how you experience it depends on how you treat the people around you.

Thank you. Much nicer criticism but the same meaning. Images were originally just one layer. This time, I make no changes. But the next project will be to hopefully better. I have learned a lot of things, I think. Thanks again everyone!
