Hey, thanks Kaboom.

I just bought AS8 last week on the half off upgrade day. I like it so far. The round end caps alone are worth it.

NICE

It would be a sign of poor skills if anyone could spot the software immediately. This didn't have anything in it which would've been impossible in AS, except the fine titles. On the contrary, it makes best use of all of AS' drawing tools.

Thanks guys :)

The art is 100% AS 8.2 Text & all ... I promise.

Working with text, I did find that we can get sharper lines if we place everything on different layers. For the opening slide, the "Harry Trigger PI" is in 3 different layers. Fill on top of a stroke on top of another stroke. (Of course you could do the same thing with 3 copied shapes on a single layer but selecting the shapes to add or change effects becomes a huge pain). It's a little extra work but to me it just looks a little sharper.
On the contrary, it makes best use of all of AS' drawing tools.
:D Flattered Slowtiger, thanks

Nice work!

About the text. I have given up even trying to use the text in AS. It slows my PC down to a crawl.

I have to agree with the others.....brilliant work!
Everything about it works well and is totally professional.
I'm off to view it again :D

Thanks guys :) I think Harry's gonna be fun to work on.

Sbtamu ... Good grief, I know what you mean! I've used a couple of different fonts in AS that I had to go back in and delete a ton of the points and straighten out a bunch of others. What do you use? I've messed around with some text overlays in Vegas but it looks pretty cheesy. I'm using their cheap software though

A lot Of the time I will make the text in a new project and save it as .png then upload it into the animation project or I will make the text in PS or Gimp and save as a .png with a transparent background.

I do not mean to deviate from your topic but...

This font is called Diabolique and a lot of heavy metal bands want me to use it. It is a PC killer.

Holy Evil Alphabet Batman! That's insane

The last time I saw that many points I was looking at the box score of the 2011 World Series after my beloved' Birds shocked the Texans ... Sha'Zam!
