Wow, I really like the style. Looks very smooth and very well done.

How long did it take you to make it? What difficulties did you encounter in getting it the way you liked it? Any tips you learned in doing your animation that you could pass on?

Very impressive! Very natural. Makes me wonder why he's so anxious to get down the stairs (i.e. makes me want more).

animation

Post by thies »

I am student in animation, another 2 weeks to finish this movie.
its horrible to make something when you know you could do it better if you had more time.... (that means; started earlyer)

toonttoons; i'm sorry, it helps if i picture all the other people on the net as beautiful girls, it is nothing personel.
serious; something i read once; my ennemies give me compliments, my friends tell me my shortcommings.... maybe a nice motto for this forum?

In my experience: Enemies are just friends gone bad. The majority of people simply don't know you and aren't interested in getting to know you, unless they have something to gain by it (be it for finance, social status, knowledge, or otherwise). I think this isn't cynical, but it rather makes sense. Maintaining friendships (and enmities) takes a lot of effort and time; it better be worth it. Some people have unconciously a broader definition of what's worth a friendship than others, others are pickier and only have a small circle of (very close) friends.

Sorry for my digression from the topic, but I had to share this.

Well, with the few posts you have made since joining the Lost Marble Forum it seems you have done a pretty good job of making enemies.

Hi thies:
Excellent work. The time you spent has not been wasted.
Good luck with the deadline but if the rest of your piece is anything like this you will do just fine. :D

How long is the movie? Can it be compressed more, or using a more efficient codec?

You could use something like WinRAR to split it up into multiple files, email them to me, and I could re-join them and make the movie available on the web - I'd really like to see the finished product. Even splitting the file up, I think you'd have too many fragments, so you'll probably need to compress it further anyway.
