this is the first animation (if you can call it like that) i ever made in anime studio, a lot of errors were made.

For a first animation it's very good. The best way to improve is to just do it, complete with errors and avoid making those mistakes on the next attempt. So nothing wrong with errors :D
I like your snappy head turn in the other thread too.

i always loved animation too... but never knew were to start out from... im a graphic design student, and i got "principles of animation", and i said "waweeeee!!!", so i guess, that thats how i started, although that class wasnt all that great, but still, there i had to do some flip books using these keys

and had to draw inbetweens of them, study the 12 principles, then did some stop motion, some crapy 2d(like the one in this thread)... guess that was a good start.

ever since then, i have just kept on trying and studying and investigating... check out animation mentors webinars, i get a lot of inspiration from there.

And about the software... no software will get you anywere if you dont know your basics...
