Here is my first walk cycle on the forum. It's simple. Please comment.

Thanks. Udd.

Nice job, i think the character moves correctly.
May be if you make the arms dont move too much it would look more natural.

i like the character, i dont agree with making the arms move less - i think they move nicely, but they need to east to the extremes - so the crossing over the body 'swing' is the fastest part of the animation... especially when swinging back, the stop before they return is very abrupt.

As an added extra, why dont you swing the forarms - so as the arm swings back from the front, the forearm swings up, and vice versa on the swing back (don't be scared to 'break' the joint... quite often this has a great effect in animation.

Nice work :)

Thanks for the comments Parker, because it's true when I walk I do not swing my arms so much. Actually I learned this walk cycle from The Animator's Survival Kit and in that the character is swinging his arms more. I am glad that the walk is smooth looking.
I think I will try varying his walk and posting more on You Tube.

Thanks funksmaname, I'm glad you like the character. Your right about swinging the arms at the elbow joint, I overlooked that.
Also that is a nice comment about easing in and out speeds. Is that something I would do in the graph mode in the time line, with bone gravity, or just with key framing?
Any ways, I will experiment with walk cycles for a while. I was anxious to get my fist animation posted though.
I am glad to get helpful feedback so quickly.

Thanks again, Udd
